those look good, altho i dont get the textures, so they use crazybump generated normal maps ( wich makes them look incredibly muddy/washed out) yet are texture old difuse style ?! what the hell are they teaching you ? i would beat the crap out of my instructor.

@tadeu: I am trying my best to learn how to improve my work, including some experiments with texture maps. Some work, some don't. Thanks for the feedback though.
